GPS can be easily accessed through GPS receivers.
GPS is the product of Depart of Defense of United States of America which is supported by 24 satellites all over the world. The system aims to keep the navigation system clear and accurate in all type of conditions.
GPS is now used in many applications. Cell phones are also using this outstanding system for various purposes and known Cell Phone tracking. This service is now acquired by almost all companies of mobiles in their different models. GPS in cell phones was first used in United States of America. In the start of this technology in cell phones, iDEN was the first cell phone in which this technology was implemented. At that time this system was used to track the employees. Now in the remaining part of this article we will try to understand the basic concept of Cell phone GPS and its working. The mobiles phone having this technology contains one GPS receiver which is used to calculate positioning by receiving signals sent by different GPS satellites. This is the basic duty of each satellite to send the messages continually which contains the time of the message that was transmitted, orbital information of satellite, general system about orbits which is called almanac.
The receivers in cell phones receive messages transmitted by each of the satellite. These messages are then used to calculate the positions of the receiver. This position is then displayed having the longitude and latitude with full information. There are many GPS tracking apps which can show the derived information such as speed and height of the location, and you can find them here.
