Before going to detail study of GPS in cell phone, let’s know about GPS. GPS stands for Global Positioning System that is a global navigation satellite system used to get information of location and time in all conditions of weather. This is system is space based. In the start of this technology in cell phones, iDEN was the first cell phone in which this technology was implemented. At that time this system was used to track the employees. The receivers in cell phones receive messages transmitted by each of the satellite. These messages are then used to calculate the positions of the receiver.
