iOS 7 activation lock improvements being made

By wlanguide
San Francisco District Attorney George Gascón recently said that iOS 7's activation lock has made improvements in its anti-theft technology and he's glad that Apple and Samsung representatives came attend the meeting and shared their technology. However he also said that Microsoft and Google did not participate in it and did nothing.

It's reported that George Gascón and Schneiderman from CA had done some tests on the anti-theft technology included in iPhone and Galaxy S4, and they found that they are pretty good.

They are doing this to crack down on mobile device theft and resell. Carriers also have set up a huge database to track these stolen mobile devices but it seemed it did not work well. So the Attorney called for handset makers to help in this matter.

However we still need to wait and see if their measure will work or not.
